Convergence is new body of work I am developing, that explores the intersection of opposing thoughts & emotions.

This series consists of monochromatic palettes, with a design of tesselating spheres & diamonds, overlaid with hand painted branching linework reminiscent of the veins of a leaf.

After layers of ink wash are applied, to build a gradient of tone, the branching line work is painted, then outlined with fine black lines from a fountain pen. Each piece has a wide range of tone, that is not immediately obvious to the viewer, but unfolds from closer observation.
